What makes me cry

I’ve never burst into tears unexpectedly the way I did in Cash’s first few weeks of life. Here’s a few of the things that made me lose it.

Cash’s cheeks getting fuller. One day I looked at him and his tiny newborn face had changed. His cheeks were plumper and rounder. It made me miss him. I missed him being little…even though he was only 3 weeks old. It was like I felt myself missing this moment in the future and I was desperately clinging to memories of moments with him.

Not wanting to share him with the world. I couldn’t imagine the thought before 6 weeks.
His tiny hand on my back. This killed me. I cried about that tiny hand all the time in the beginning. That photo at the top of the page would have me coming unglued. I took it to send to my mom to show her the carrier. Next thing I know, tears over that tiny hand.
